So far, I’ve mostly used examples of my own in Share&Inspire. For this week I had something prepared, but things changed when two days ago I received this e-mail:
I was wondering if maybe you could help me with some advice. I always wanted to become a professional massagist. I followed all the courses I could and even went to Thailand for more training. I would love to work as a massagist, be it as an independent or for someone else. But my wife doesn’t want it. She doesn’t want to me touch other people in such an intimate way. So now I’m working in an office doing a job I hate. It makes me depressed, but I also don’t want to lose my wife. What should I do?
Many thanks to Matt for his courage to share his own experience with us. And a good experience it is too, in such a sense that it seems a very recognizable situation to me. Who hasn’t felt blocked by his partner at some point or another in his life! These are not easy dilemmas to deal with.
So what does YAYOM have to say about it? A lot.
You can read the YAYOM analysis on Sunday.
Do you recognize yourself in Matt’s situation? Have you found a solution for it? Share it! You can inspire many other people with your story! You can leave it here or on Facebook.
